However, there are some fallacies about home care that might be preventing people from considering it for their loved ones. So, we have noted five fallacies that relates to why people don’t consider home care. Plus, we’ve included why that shouldn’t be a reason.

1. Home Care is very expensive

As with many things that necessary to do or have, the cost associated with the service becomes the main concern. However, home care is the preferred option. In fact, according to an AARP. study, 90% of those age 65 prefer to stay in their home. They feel assisted living or nursing facility are less empowering for living their lives. Plus, in-home care is actually more cost effective than assisting living or nursing facility.

At a comparatively higher cost, assisted living facilities don’t offer that feeling of familiar surroundings. Not to mention the on average nearly $4,000 monthly cost. Conversely, in-home care is much more reasonable. Additionally, the consultation is free to find out if home care is a good option is free. Or even helping the client stay in touch with loved ones through FaceTime or social media. Caregivers understand their role in the over dynamics because they have families too.

4. Caregivers don’t care about clients
